La Costa Beach & Golf Resort and Apartaments Golf by La Costa, located in the heart of the Costa Brava, have been awarded the Biosphere Certification, an international distinction that recognizes their firm commitment to responsible and sustainable tourism, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) under the 2030 Agenda.

The Biosphere Certification, granted by the Responsible Tourism Institute (RTI), highlights the implementation of best practices in environmental, social, economic, and cultural management, and underscores the property’s connection with its local community and surroundings.

“This recognition reflects our ongoing efforts to integrate sustainability into our daily operations, offering a tourism experience that is respectful of nature, people, and the local area,” said representatives of La Costa management.

With this certification, La Costa strengthens its position as a benchmark for sustainable tourism along the Catalan coast and joins a global network of accommodations working actively toward a more balanced, conscious, and responsible tourism model.
