The Solheim Cup is the pinnacle of women’s golf with the best golfers from Europe and USA going head-to-head in the most exciting, competitive format in golf, the 16th edition of the event promises to be the biggest women’s golf event yet.

The Solheim Cup returns to Scotland, the ‘Home of Golf’ for the first time since 2000. The PGA Centenary Course, on which Europe sealed a thrilling Ryder Cup victory in 2014, continues its match play legacy, providing a stunning battleground amid the rolling Perthshire hills.

With a legacy that spans six centuries, Scotland has over 550 fantastic courses to play, including links courses, parkland courses, heathland courses and everything else in between.

As this is such a historic occasion for women’s golf and as part of our 20x20 pledge for women’s golf, Golf Digest Ireland will be dedicating a 50 page preview of this great tournament. It will be the complete guide to the championship, the course, the resort, the players, the history and golf trips to the ‘Home of Golf”.
