About IGTWA |
The International Golf Travel Writers Association (IGTWA) was established in 2000 in order to bring
together the world's leading journalists specialising in writing quality golf travel
articles. IGTWA's membership currently comprises
writers in
countries.
The IGTWA is administered by
IAGTO
- the global trade organisation of the golf tourism industry - which provides IGTWA
members with excellent access to golf destinations, golf resorts, courses, hotels
and other golf travel suppliers in addition to specialist golf publications worldwide.

Activities |
IGTWA can participate in press trips to golf destinations worldwide. They receive
a membership card, weekly newsbroadcasts on the golf tourism industry and receive
press releases from across the globe. IGTWA members enjoy free registration at the
International Golf Travel Market and are responsible for voting for the Undiscovered
Golf Destination of the Year Award.

Organisation |
Whilst the IGTWA is administered by the staff of IAGTO, IGTWA members vote for a President
who holds office for two years. The incumbent President is Dan Poppers, Publisher
and Editor of Golf News Magazine in California. Dan follows in the footsteps of
Anne Harper, who oversaw the development of the IGTWA from 2000 to 2004.
