La Cala Resort will be the setting of the fourth event of a unique experience that combines golf and a special equestrian show. For this occasion on the 31st of May, the Asia course will become the perfect stage to host the first tournament where sport and horse culture go hand in hand. Additionally, the ‘hole in one’ prize is a Kia car.
With the theme of ‘elegance and horsepower’, this fourth tour will be directed by the well-known jockey Angel Peralta Astolfi. The organiser of this tournament, Javier Bahillo, explains that ‘it is about doing something different that improves players’ experiences by complementing the golf tournament with an activity that, at the same time, is representative and original in the Andalusian region’. He states that ‘Spain holds a very prominent and prestigious place in the world of horses’. In addition, it is important to add that equestrian events are highly appreciated by the international public. ‘Don Juan a Caballo’ (Don Juan on horseback), is a show originally created by Peralta Astolfi in which the character of ‘Don Juan’, the great and mythical seducer, intervenes. The story is told and interpreted by the protagonists while on horseback.
In terms of the golf tournament, it will be an individual Stableford 18-hole competition, and for the price of 75 euros (registration fee), participants will enjoy numerous perks and services. Among them is the opportunity to participate in the KIA test drive and also to enjoy the green fee, shared buggy, welcome pack and food tent. Similarly, players can win prizes and enter the gift lottery. Of course they will also attend the show, ‘Don Juan a Caballo’, and the exclusive cocktail hour.
