Central Florida oasis puts the focus on indulgence

Spa Marbella at Mission Inn Resort & Club has unveiled a new menu of services, featuring innovative treatments created by skin care and body professionals using products derived from natural ingredients.

Whether guests elect to make a day of it or sneak away for an hour, Spa Marbella offers a chance to indulge themselves.

A six-hour, head-to-toe immersion provides female guests with the best of everything Spa Marbella has to offer. The day begins with a warm, relaxing hydrotherapy rain shower enhanced with aromatherapy to enliven the senses.

Ultimate relaxation then is achieved with a four-handed massage, followed by the signature Spa Marbella Facial, which includes exfoliation, extraction, relaxing lifting massage, revitalizing mask and hydration. Deep relaxation is an integral part of this facial.

After a light lunch in the Spa’s Costa Verde y Jardin, followed by the Spa Marbella Signature Manicure and Pedicure. The Spa Marbella Day Experience—perfect for a girlfriends’ weekend away or mother-daughter day out—is $545 per person.

The half-day, 3.5-hour Duet Getaway for Two provides two guests with a massage for each, a Barcelona Organic Facial Duet, light lunch at Costa Verde y Jardin, and a Lavanda y Miel Pedicure, for $540.

One of the most popular new treatments is the 80-minute Cuatro Manos (four-handed) Signature Massage.  Two therapists perform coordinated rhythmic movements to create a sense of calm and wellbeing, with organic aromatic oil soothing the senses and nourishing the skin. The price is $245.

Mission Inn’s reputation as a premier golf resort hasn’t gone unnoticed by spa director Sharon Saint Amand.  She has created the perfect complement to Mission Inn’s two award-winning golf experiences (El Campéon and Los Colinas) with 50- or 80-minute golfers’ massages ($125 and $165 respectively). “These massages specifically address areas the body prone to stress and strain from playing golf,” Saint Amand explains. “Stretches will lengthen and return the body to a more balanced state.”

Spa Marbella even has found a way to satisfy chocolate cravings—without the calories. The Coconut-Chocolate Indulgence, a 50-minute body treatment ($110), combines the healing benefits of coconut and chocolate in a rejuvenating immersion.

Spa Marbella is a 6,200-square-foot oasis of relaxation adjacent to the Mission Inn golf clubhouse. The spa features five private treatment rooms, two steam rooms, private lounges for men and women, plus three manicure and two pedicure stations.

Mission Inn is a four-season resort located in the rolling hills of Central Florida’s Lake County in the town of Howey-in-the-Hills, 35 minutes northwest of Orlando. The destination resort features classic Spanish Colonial architecture, 176 graciously appointed guestrooms, suites and villas, the two championship golf courses, three restaurants, two lounges, and poolside bar. Recreational amenities include eight tennis courts, trap and skeet shooting range, jogging and bicycling trails, volleyball courts, outdoor pool and hydro-spa, fitness center, nautical center with 52-slip marina, fishing, and boating.
