Golfers will get to enjoy two of the island’s most outstanding golf courses

Mauritius offers travellers ample reason to explore its shores—from exceptional beaches to phenomenal outdoor activities and world-class golf courses. In fact, Mauritius has some of the most sublime golf courses in the world—Ile aux Cerfs in particular—which is why many people are prepared to travel far and wide to experience them. And the best part? If you partake in the Tee and Toque Trophy, you will have ample opportunity to indulge in blissful hours spent on two of the island’s most coveted golf courses—Ile aux Cerfs Golf Club and Anahita Golf Course.

The Ile aux Cerfs Golf Club is an extraordinary 18-hole, par 72 championship course designed by the famed Bernhard Langer and is located on its very own island—Ile aux Cerfs. It’s renowned for its technically challenging course and unbelievable natural surrounds. The Anahita Golf Course is equally stunning with its dramatic mountain and sea views. This phenomenal 18-hole, par 72 golf course was designed by Ernie Els and offers avid golfing fans an incredible game of golf in a magical setting.

Guests partaking in the Tee and Toque Trophy are afforded free shuttles to and from the golf courses as well as free green fees for both courses. As part of the tournament, there will be different rounds held on each of these two golf courses and will include the following formats:
4-ball better ball
2-ball scramble
Individual Stableford

Not only will you be able to revel in the sheer beauty of each of these courses, but your entire golfing experience as part of this tournament is sure to be nothing short of exceptional.

The accommodation at Long Beach is outstanding

Golfing fans eager to partake in this event will be able to relish their stay at the phenomenal five-star Long Beach resort, perfectly situated along the east coast. Naturally, this means that guests can look forward to some delicious cuisine, but it doesn’t stop there. Taking part in the experience (and spending the full week with the golfers) will be two exceptional international chefs who share a passion for both culinary delights and golf; French chef Jean-Pierre Vigato and South African chef (known for his excellent restaurants as well as his appearance on the South African MasterChef) Reuben Riffel.

This sensational restaurant is located in a private 19th-century mansion on the ground floor of what was previously the Hôtel de Talhouët-Roy in the heart of the romantic city of Paris. The experience at this restaurant is particularly sublime in summer when your meal can be enjoyed in the exceptional garden of the property.

His creative cuisine centres on fresh, high-end ingredients such as langoustine, white truffles, game and John Dory which are then are perfectly paired with fresh vegetables in phenomenal dishes that are undeniably created with love. This self-taught chef embraces a modern approach to cooking with a focus on incredible textures and dishes that are infused with aromatic spices (while keeping them simple and honest) which add to incredible dishes that are nothing short of sensational and are bound to thrill gourmets. And the best part?  He loves a good round of golf too!

The acclaimed South African chef, Reuben Riffel, comes from the picturesque town of Franschhoek set in the gorgeous Western Cape, which is now also home to one of his three exemplary restaurants, the other two being in the gorgeous sleepy seaside town of Paternoster in the Western Cape and at the One and Only hotel at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.
